Title: Fretless Standard
Post by: uwe on April 16, 2008, 07:58:19 AM
You don't see those too often and the Victory pup goes well with the fretless sound, shame about the Bartolini implant, with all due respect, Jaco wreaked havoc on the sound esthetics of just too many fretless players ...

I remember when Uwe only referred to them as "F(i)enders." That was before we found out that he owns a few.  ;)

You should look at the overpriced basses over $800 topic over there if you want to see Gibson bashing gone completely out of control.  I didn't know that Epi Thunderbirds, although crap, are as good as Gibson Thunderbirds, also crap of course.  People might save a lot of money if they knew that.

Your right, they have both young people who just say anything without reasons to virtousa types who slap & tap, which is not Gibson's cup of tea, both of which can be "haters" of many basses that they feel are inferior FOR THEM.

But they do have a Wishbass club so go figure!

I don't really hate any bass brand-whatever works for you is fine.

They are not all bad either, just the hater part.

Thats the beauty of this place there are no "haters" that I'm aware of. We can even talk about gun control & politics in a civilized manner, without it getting out of hand. Everything is not black & white.

People try to be respectful here and that is all that is asked of us.
