Post by: dexter on April 07, 2008, 03:22:44 AM
have a look at this .... embassy bass
http://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/proddetail.php?p=1-3&id=2041#

...just wondering if anyone knows if the bridge arrangement on this lovely looking embassy bass is original ,...looks sorta weird , ..... its got the studs and posts of ebo/ 3 basses but different string anchor .
....not that i'm thinking of buying it , just curious , ....looks like an interesting way of improving the intonation on those old basses ... ::)

The bridge is correct, same hardware as a Thunderbird of the same vintage. Love the white NR Thunderbird they have.  :o

At first I thought that was a white '76.........but after looking at the pics I think its PINK! Might even be the one that belonged to Evan Sheeley (owner of BassNW) when he played with TKO.......I shoulda been a Lawyer!

I like that pink bird.  That one has been on their site a while.

I bought my EB-2D from them in 2002.  I think its current market value has almost reached what I paid for it back then.  :D

That's OK - no regrets.  Loved it then, love it now.

I wonder if he was one of the guys leaning over the hood of the dead truck backstage when they played Davenport, IA way back when.  We just missed them on a bill with AC/DC, UFO, Nazareth and Heart.  AC/DC was excellent!  I ended up chewing the fat with Bon Scott for about half an hour over a beer near the river.  He was very cool.
