Scott, the top guard is what I was talking to you about earlier.

That is a Chandler, my guard is much closer to the original.

Hmm... I don't know about that Scott...

The modification you did at the front end where the pickguard meets the neck is quite different from the original.
And the tail at the end of your pickguards is much wider than the original.

Chandler used my drawing which I made by looking at dozens of pictures. And with measurements I got from three different sources.

The tail end is wider when they come out they get trimmed down in the finishing process. Where the neck meets the pg is all wrong on the Chandler. Original '67(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/godofthunder59/pgdetail2002.jpg)mine(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/godofthunder59/pgdetail2001.jpg)Chandler(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/godofthunder59/pgdetail2003.jpg)

My pattern based on several originals that I actually have in hand. Here is a pic of the trimmed tail I don't like the exagerated shoulders on the Chandler it looks wrong to me. I have been making none reverse guards for something like 25 years and have owned over a dozen different NRs in over 30 years imho mine are much closer than the Chandler.(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/godofthunder59/cherrybach76006.jpg)

Maybe I based my drawing on the wrong pics. I have several that clearly show the curved lines at the neck.
Especially the one George(?) made with the measurements.

I guess it's another example of how inconsistent Gibson was with these things (as we're quite used to)  ;)

Well what you know about that ? I found this in my pictures a beautiful '66 I used to own   It has the shoulders though not as prominent as on the Chandler. Ok I give but I still like mine better. ;D (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/godofthunder59/100_1717.jpg)
