At under 3kg I doubt seriously that it's a solid body. They made a hollowbody without f-holes like a Hofner, I suspect that's what this is. These were not uncommon. "Truly unique" LOL!

Price looks reasonable for a refin.

I owned one of these but with f-holes. Tone like hitting a wet cardboard box.

And, if the neck is anything like the old Mark IV basses were, it should have "Louisville Slugger" stamped on it.   I wouldn't pay $300 for a vintage Vox, no matter what condition it was in.

Are you saying the Mark IV necks were big, or just round? The late 60s EKO-made Vox violin basses were pencil-neck geeks, very narrow at the nut and heel but with a profile like a broomstick.

I wouldn't pay more than $300 either. Which means I won't get one since the going price is higher than that.

Greco also has a decent solid body, short scale.
I've seen them in red, yellow, white, and almost natural(like original EB's). They sound better than the cardboard box thing.
This one is here and great for long shows when light-weight is important.
