The Peter Cook "FLAME" bass - est £15-20K - P28 lot 172 - reputedly used on TOTP in the early seventies (although I cannot find footage) where JAE used a matching flame red/yellow suit - somebody have that footage...?
The 1962 white "SLAB" Precision - est £8-10K - P22 lot 136 - this is reputedely one of his earliest instruments with the Who, originally sunburst - provenance is an accompanying letter from JAE...

The flame bass is nasty! Love the Alembic spider though. I believe that one sold for around $82,000 back then.
I still have failed to find the video - should be easy - matching flame bass and suit...
Funny & kinda sad that Dorothy's ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz went for $666,000.00 (Yes, 666!!!) at auction in Y2k but Entwistle's basses won't sell for near as much.
