These usually go for much more on Ebay. Looks like something Mark would love!!
Love the finish!
Dun' like the headstock.
That seems like a great price even for a Japanese model. There was a time I might have jumped just because. I'm sure it'll be a nice addition to someone's Thunderebird flock.
and states it is a neck through bolt on = really rare these days, just hidden bolts in the pics
That's funny ;D I missed that it was listed as both a neck thru and bolt on.
That's a real deal! I suspect it might be that low because it's not something that would appeal to most of Bass NW's clientele.
I might have to call Evan about that................... :P
Wow! :o

x2. I like the Rick style fretboard. No strap pins?
Gorgeous but that headstock could take an eye out!

Yeah, I've never thought that Jackson headstock was attractive. But at least they came up with something distinctly their own.
:-[ missed it!
Damn!!!
I mean like by 20mins, 'cause I'm at work and couldn't break away at 11:00 when they opened - I'm an unhappy girl :-\
I was hoping you'd get it Mark! Loved the color.
They should have you on a calling list for first shot at anything Thunderbird that comes into the store.
I am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to slow Oh well
Please guy somebody snag this! I just got a much better job so I have an Epi Les Paul Standard on the way and Friday I go to pick up my sixth 8x10. I have no T-birds; I love that finish; I love Jacksons of that era and a neck-through T-Bird is just too much. The only things that hold me back are the EMG's and the fact that simply I don't have the room to store the beast and my wife isn't THAT understanding.
I just love that bass. I have never seen that finish before.
I got the bass. Sorry Mark. It wasn't my intention to step on your toes. I kind of scored it before they even opened. I live on the east coast so Bass NW doesn't open till 2pm my time. Yesterday morning I sent an email saying that if it was still available I'd like to buy it. Evan, the owner of Bass NW, emailed me back right away saying that it was available and that he thought it was a great rare bass. So I bought it. I'm a little leery of the EMG's as I've never been a fan of those that I've heard, although that was years ago. I've also never owned an active bass so we'll see. But it was just too cool and too cheap to pass on. What a finish! Evidently it has barely been played. It had never had strap pins installed. If I decide to flip it Mark, you have first rights of refusal.

Congratulations, and no need to apologize. Nobody has first dibs. You saw it, you went for it. I'm glad someone here got it.
Cool bass, good deal, congrats!

Here's some pics of the Jackson with my new Bachbird. I'm loving both of these basses. The Jackson is really well made, nice fit and finish. The sparkle green is awesome and unique. It plays effortlessly with super low fast action. The bass arrived in brand new condition. I can't find a mark on it anywhere. No swirls, nothing. It had never had strap pins installed. I thought I would hate the EMGs but I don't. They are a little sterile but it was easy to dial in a nice full punchy tone. The preamp is master vol, treble, bass and blend. This is the first active bass I have ever owned and I'm having fun with it. I probably will swap out pups at some point with something that will drop into the standard soapbar cavities. Any suggestions? I've been reading a lot about the Lace Alumatone pups and may try them.
Rubbing "salt" in the wounds...? ;D
Beautifull... congrats...
No Kenny I try to avoid salt. It's bad for you.;D Just really happy with the bass and sharing that. I never expected it to be this clean for that price. I would think they could have easily asked A couple of hundred more for it.
That's even nicer looking than in Bass NW's photos.
No pix = No Bass
Just so we're all clear about where this 'Bird roost's.................
(Sorry for the filthy Subarau, Winter/Spring here in Seattle means no car washing!)
Thanks for the Awesome deal Bill! ;D

Glad to see that you ended up with it Mark. Somehow it seems like it will fit right in with the flock.

You're welcome Mark. I'm glad you like it. Let us know what you think after you have some time with it. It all worked out great for me too as I found my Greco while waiting for your MO to arrive.

A little duct tape and a sock serves well here.
Besides it really doesn't hurt ;)
