Title: Aufruf Herr Uwe - Epi les paul content..
Post by: Deathshead on February 18, 2010, 09:55:34 AM
Uwe, I saw an old post of yours about the epi "vinnie" lp bass,, you mention you have a prototype epi les paul bass?
Do you have any pictures you might be able to share?  Is it Korean or US built?  Sounds really cool!

"Never played one of those, but while a maple LP sounds somewhat like as a crime against nature conceptually, my maple prototype Epi LP sounds great. This Vinnie thing should be a snappy affair together with the EMGs."

Just recently did some rehearsal recordings with it and it struck me again how Ric'ish it sounds.

Makes sense with the maple neck thru and very rickish pup placement, was it US built or Korean? what style headstock?

Epi'nesque the headstock is. Supposedly built in the USA according to what the seller (Bruce) told me at the time who had obtained it from a Gibson/Epi-employee in the US.
