I've got to find another picture because I've posted this one every time we do this thread. As you can see in my avatar, I look nothing like this now. :o
I am thinking of letting my hair grow for a while just to see if I can get it this pretty again. Except it'll now be mostly white instead of black! I don't know that I could pull off those boots any more though. ;D

George, just have your hair stylist dye it......My real hair (not that enormous wig) is short and would be gray/white..........but I have it dyed a very nice dark purple every month. Yeah, purple!
Here's that nice black '77 'Bird this past New Year's Eve, it friggin' rocks!

What the...? Last time around I knew how to do this trick, and get big and proud photos through the mail. But now? Where did I go wrong? But that little bass player sure looks nice, or what you say, Uwe?
These photos are a trip! Thanks guys. I'd post my first bass but it's not a Gibson!

"on the poop deck!" Really John! ;)
These are great, I esp. like Uwe's band up on some rooftop doin' The Beatles thing! Sir Paul has nothing on you Herr Moderator.
Uwe's Edit: Actually more Yellow Submarine: We're playing on the deck of a ship on that first pic on the Main river.
Quote"on the poop deck!" Really John!
That's because when it gets to be 10 below zero the dogs can't make it to the yard and use our deck to poop!
Well, the snow has finally melted and low & behold-poop on the deck!
We are supposed to get 5-6" of snow tomorrow!!

Oh how I miss the spring thaws in Minnesota. The gradual exposure of the layers of thawing dog poop. The futile attempts to pick them up gracefully. And just when you think it's all over for another year, you get 6" of snow in late April.
These are great pictures, some I've seen, some I haven't - great thread!

Funny how a budget bass can make such great music.
I have to add the one of me with my '76 Thunderbird. It suffered headstock syndrome, and I eventually sold it. I've fallen apart since then, as well....sigh...it's hell getting old. Pay no attention to that man behind the Fender.

The shirt was a joke, but in this photo apparently it was no laughing matter. Having learned from JAE the wonders of Thunderbirds with Sunn solid-state amps, I apparently inadvertently learned his habit for stone-facing on stage.

I was using both pickups on the bassiest setting through a PJB Suitcase - I thought it was nice and fat! I think I was benefitting from the hollow stage. Plus, it was just me, a guitarist and two singers for two songs, so I think I gave a nice cushion for them without drowning them out.
Love the suit!

Thanks - I wish I had thought to adjust my tie though!
I showed a picture from this show, but we just found out the other day that there is a video of us from that night. I'm not sure who took the video, but I thank her (the video is mostly of our lead player soloing, so I think she might be one of his... guests). This might also give Chris P. an example of how the Zebrabird sounds. I think for this show I just had it running through an Ashdown Compressor pedal and then straight into the solid state Ampeg. Oh, there is some language, sorry 'bout that.

You know, they should. It's a great amp and set of cabinets, easily the best rig I've ever had.

There are 5 that I admit too currently, at least 2 more to add this year. I don't have a current group shot, been meaning to do that, I'll try to this weekend *if* its not raining (Seattle). Compared to Uwe's squadron's I'm afraid it's a humble collection
This black one is a '77 that George (Old Man C) sold to me a little while back, its neck's been broken and repaired, stock paint, lots of mojo........my main stage bass right now, beyond badass in black and chrome :)

So you didn't use the Orange?
I see an SVT II Pro with 810 cab (which is pretty cool! ;) )
I could chose between bringing my own Orange + 4x10 (which meant we needed a third car, cos we also brought our own tech and VJ) or using the SVT and 8x10. No hard decision...
