Weren't these the precursor to Hiwatt amps? Could be a good move...
I have a Sound City 200 Plus, I love it ! I paid all of $150 for it. Sound Citys have sort of a bad rap "Sounds Sh-tty" is what we called 'em back in the day. I forget why but I think the preamp is a bit harsh (maybe a techie can really explain this) Having said that I think SC amps are a bargain in todays market compaired to a similar Marshall or Hiwatt. People are catching on and values are rising. I think the 120 would be a good move It will work great with a nice 2x15 or 4x12 or 10s for that matter. I say go for it ! Hey that reminds me I got a SC 6x10 cab sitting in the garage waiting for restoration. :o
the 200+ is what i really want. but they don't seem to come up too often.
What condition is the 120 in? Should be plenty loud. If you don't mind what are they asking ! Here is a song done with the 200 plus, it's the first one Click Dr. K http://www.myspace.com/johnnysmokerocks

Sound City used a really crappy sounding active EQ in most of their models' preamps. Get rid of that and you've basically got a Hiwatt.
they're asking 6, condition looks good too. that track sounds great what cab/mic did you use? or did you DI
600 wow :o prices are rising ! Still worth it imho. No DI ;D just mike, a AKG something or other I'll get the model # on mon. The cab is just a Peavey ported 1x15 with a Black Widow. Great sounding little cab to bad it is made of particle board.
Dave Reeves (Mr HIWATT) used to be employed by them - the amps are of varied quality but similar to Hiwatt's - blew one up, back in the day...
