white triumph (http://www.j-guitar.com/sp/sea/view_detail/s14140168.html)
About $2000. Text says the tortoise-shell pickguard is non-original (duh?).
I remember when I was in high school and living in the Canal Zone, Panama one of the PX's had a white Triumph bass for $400 with case. Wish I would have picked that one up back then. (1978)
I picked up this white Les Paul bass a couple of days ago. Not a Gibson but still pretty cool. He was trying to sell them as a pair but split them up for me.

Is that a Greco?
It's a Greco. Here's a Goldie:

If I remember correctly, my first-ever bass was a Greco EB-3 copy...
There's a white EB-2 at Rumble Seat Music (http://www.rumbleseatmusic.com/NEWbasses.htm) - I don't think I've ever seen one of those!
That tortoiseshell guard really suits it....
I finally put in the effort to read the full description. It says:
This is rare!
We got in a Triumph!
The control plate has been changed.
Because the finish has changed color where there was a sticker, this is a great value!
I couldn't decide if $2000 was cheap or expensive for Japan - looks like it's on the cheap side. I actually didn't notice the finish discoloration - you can see it most obviously in the image on the bottom right of the 2nd photo...
I love the white one. I always liked the singer of Manic Street Preachers for his white LP guitar.
There's a white '66 EB-2 (http://www.rumbleseatmusic.com/pix/66gibsonEB-2white.jpg) at Rumble Seat Music (http://www.rumbleseatmusic.com/NEWbasses.htm) that looks pretty sweet...
