These are guys who for a fee purport to act as the middle man for Japanese Yahoo auction sellers and guitar shops that don't speak English or won't ship overseas. Anyone here had any experience with them?
I guess I'm the first then. Hideki from Obsoleteguitars.com is buying and shipping this for me .....

I don't remember seeing a Greco EB-2 before. Looks nice.
If the price for their service is reasonable I can see a great resource there. I've noticed that prices in Japan (and on the Yahoo Japan only auction site) seem usually to be a good deal less than once those guitars end up on Ebay. Replacing the middle man with a more reasonable middle man is a great idea!
My weakness... 8)
Beautiful... good luck, Mark...
DANG, that's a really pretty bass!!!!!
Envy R'Us in this corner....
What was the price? Is the website price in Yen?
I guess we should migrate over to Mark's purchased an EB2 thread, Al...
Obsoleteguitars charges $95 for his service, plus the Paypal fees (3.4%). EMS shipping is $130, which is a little less than Ishibashi charges, for example. When I looked at Rinkya prices they were more expensive than Obsolete.
Total for the Greco EB-Too including all fees and shipping was just over $1000
In Australian dollars? That's really reasonable compared to what I usually see quoted for what you have to pay there.
Dave, that's $US. Considering that used Korean Epi Rivoli reissues sell for close to US$1000 in Australia, the Greco price was a good one.
That is a good deal then.
