Nice herd, although I'm surprised by the disproportionate love for the heavyweight 70s Fenders.

Very nice!  I have a soft spot for those late 70's Fenders.  Ever since I drooled over that nice catalog that came out in 1976.

Nice to see you still have the Gretsch 6070. Now all you need is another EB-2.  ;)

Isn't that Gretsch model also known as the "John Holmes" model? :-[

Thanks guys!

Mark: The P's and J are not heavy, they are all ~ 9 lbs except for the 75 sunburst/rosewood (my best sounding P) which is 10 lbs. The '72 is 8.2 lbs and the Mustang is 7.2 lbs.

birdie: the 1/2 has nice tone with Spiro's, but bowed isn't as loud as the full-size bass.

Dave: right now I think I have pretty much everything I need.

I'm giving a lot more attention to the upright these days, while the electrics collect a little dust. But I know I'll return to them.

A very nice collection, Ilan... all that's missing is a nice T'bird or an EB, or...  ;)

He had an EB-2 and sold it, that's why I was ribbing him.

Actually with guitars I like Gibsons a lot. You see that 2 out of my 3 six-string guitars are Gibsons, and they are spectacular. As for basses, not really a big fan of the mudbucker-and-neck-dive combination, but I could go for a nice G3, I've always liked them.

My maple RD Artist was reasonably well balanced before I "modified" her, and as you play fretless acoustics I can wholeheartedly recommend the sound (nothing like "mud"), passively, and the fretless modification, but if your a purist...

Terr... some funky walking stick...  ;D
