Hi guys,
Besides Boilersuit I have a new second band. We made some songs which you can listen to at www.myspace.com/thelalalies. You'll also find some codes to download the tracks in .wav (CD-quality).
We also made a simple promotional vid; I hope you like it:)

Congratulations.
Wow! That sounds and looks great! Very Jet
The bass is nice up front in the mix. It sounds real ballsy.
You got your first fan in the Netherlands.
It's very nice ;)
'Bout time you had a 'Bird in one of your videos ( I make it a point!)
Seriously, it sounds great and I like it. :-*
But where's the spandex?!
Thanks, guys!
Rob, did you spot the BaCHBird?

No, I didn't. :-[
I only see you battered Gibson Tbird with Quick sticker
Well, the first couple of seconds, the cam moves by a guitar rack with the BaCH in it. And the song is recorded with the BaCH through a virtual Ampeg SVT.
The Electric Jets also recorded with the BaCHBird and it appears in their vid which will be ready at the beginning of June.
Wow, is this the BaCHbird we hear??
Yes it is! But the sunburst Bird looked better in the vid;) But as I said I decided to give it a cameo in the intro:)
Awesome Chris! :toast: I really like the sound of that. Need to get home to a puter with decent sound connected so I can hear it better.
Sigh. Doug never plays what you actually see. It's a 4005 as a Bachbird as a TB ...
Yep, I had to go on with this tradition;)
Next time I'll record with a P and I'll use an SG Reissue in the vid:)
Great video & song. Reminds me a bit of the Hives (which I like). Nice bass work & tone. I enjoy you "Netherworld" bands.
Still, you need to loose the shirt & hat, get that poofy wig on and get some leather pants or spandex.
Good stuff, Chris. I'll check out the MySpace page later.
Very jetty and hivy in a good way, love the way you are standing in a circle, simple yet tremendously effective. Love the Elliot Eastonish guitar lines in the chorus.
Me likey!! 8)
Nice tune, and a really good bass sound, a bit brutal but still with warmth. For your music the sound suits really fine. Personally, I need a bit more barbed wire on the top. I'm very curious to check whether it's in the range of the B-bird.
For such music you really have to play with a pick, but I can't do that. Fingers only. A pick would have mid it a bit more rough.
But thanks again, guys!
i really liked Boilersuit, but i like this even more. good job.

Bring the lows down a bit, boost the low mids, and hit (maybe it's HAMMER) the strings down by the bridge. I've been compensating for a lack of pick technique for years. :toast:
That's great music Chris. I liked the video also. I did'nt recognize the Bicentennial sound so the Bachbird made more sense to me.
Works for me... 8)
Just played it through my system at home. That really kicks arse Chris! I love music that lifts you up and forces you to smile.
Wow - that was great! And for simple that video was very well done.
Thanks again!
To be sure: At our MySpace you'll find links (www.4shared....) to download our songs in .wav format. That's cd qualit. And of course for free:)
Today we already had 845 views and a place in the Dutch YouTUbe Music top50:) So keep watching our vid:)

Makes 3 of us.
Hey Chris How did you record that bass. DI or what amp etc?
Thanks Gary!
I first recorded the bass with my '76 Bird and my Hiwatt DR201 + 4x10. Our guitar player isn't that experienced yet and we recorded everything too loud. We had to do some things again and I had to record my bass parts again in his livingroom, so no noice possible. I finally recorded with my BachBird through a Line6 interface and a '70s Ampeg SVT PlugIn of Cubase.
Some new pics online with my '76 Bird at the pic section (Hoogwoud) of www.myspace.com/thelalalies
Some Bird-pics:

Damn, I would love to hear how it sounded through the Hiwatt. :) Still a great sound though.
And some live footage.

Video isn't working for me.
Rock'n ! Good Rock & Roll never goes out of style 8)
Must be something in my settings, I still can't see it in any of my 3 browsers. But I can see a one-minute live video from May 2 on your MySpace page. Same one?
Hey Chris, I missed this thread originally, but Rob sent me the link a while ago. Just wanted to say you guys kick ass! I love it. If you ever come to the states let me know. I'll hook you up with a Chicago show or two.
Thanks guys. I can't see it either, but it is the short live thing on the MySpace. In one way or another the code doesn't work...
