A really good week for started last Friday when I got to pick up my Lull 'Bird....
And it just stays fun at least thru this Friday. Why?
I was lucky enough to be able to buy Curt's wonderful Green Orville 'Bird, it'll be here Thursday, yay!

Thursday night The Nasty Habits are playing at Big Daddy's (LOL!) in Woodinville Wa, home of Chateau Ste. Michelle wine and Loud Technology, it's Ladies night there and we've never played at this venue - it'll likely be similar to that scene in "The Blues Brothers" with the chicken wire on the stage! We will also have booking agents from Pacific Rim Entertainment there to see us play, a big step for us, as these guys handle most of the casinos and better venues around here.

Friday night will find us at El Corazon, one of Seattle's better venues opening up for Voltaire, long time outposters will remember that this is in fact the second time we've played on the bill with him - he loved us last time and specifically asked the promoter for us - we're pretty excited.
This time he has his full band with him. For me, the show will debut the Lullbird and my first real chance to hold down a significant vocal part for one of our songs - in this case Peter Murphy's "Cuts you up" while playing the bass, I've been madly rehearsing it and can't wait. Lastly I needed a new very Gothic dress for the occasion so hopefully some slightly different new pics soon :)
It's been a good week!

Good luck, you never know what new opportunities might open up.
And don't buy any Loud products.
Rock on, baby!!
Thats great Mark. Are you guys girls recording or video-ing the Voltaire support?
Good luck for the gigs, Mark... Lead or BGV's...? when we played our recent reform gig I had to carry all the BGV's that our original (girlie) keys player used to do, where I only did about 30% of the stuff, and never any lead vocals... (Heaven forbid that...)
Your heading for double figures re your T'birds...!
Keeping the fingers crossed for PRE... it's all one step at a time... you're never to old to rock'n'roll, big sis... especially with all that make-up that's out there available... ;)
You have to make a new group pic of the Birds!
Thursday @ Big Daddys, had fun and the guys from Pacific Rim were there, they liked us so we'll see where that goes.

And Friday night at El Corazon just before we started, we got to play a nice 40 minute set, it was a very good outing for the band - we were all very happy about how we played :)
The new dress and the Lull.

Youve made black & orange a classic. Congrats on the green orville Im sure its in a caring home....
Now ,what color pearls would go with the now classic black n' orange............................
That Green Orville is SO COOL, I've tried to take pics of it twice now.....but it's true color has eluded me, I'll try again tonight.
I excel at staring off into space before a show........ ;D
I didn't get any live pics from this show, the venue is notoriously known by local photogs for it's somewhat dim lighting...........We did a very quick sound check of everybodys levels and just took off, we opened with "Sanctuary' by The Cult, an easy song that the band really cuts loose on..........

It needs to be a lttle warmer here before I can do a new group pic, there are too many to put at the back of the Subaru - so a new format is needed 8)
In the meantime the Orville is here, and it's beautiful......

I was just thinking the same thing. On the other hand, can you think of anything better than that to spend your money on?

Drunken WAVE maybe :)
Outside of my household obligations I can do what I like (I'm single).............but I've got so many expensive bad habits, basses, women's clothing, electric trains...............it just goes on and on.
Seriously tho, it's been pretty good lately, can't wait for BaCH to finally ship my 'Bird 8)
i envy you, except for the womens clothing.i prefer old punk t's,records and old school skateboards.though i am getting a new guitar on sunday (a Gibson SG)but i'm trading some Triumph motorcycle parts for it.no new basses for a while. my next one's gonna be a Ric.but that Orville is so sweet.

When you and Chris tie the knot - the money will dry up ;D He'll probably force you to shop for girlie clothes at Marshalls and Walmart :P :P
Says the broke, jealous married guy that will probably have to buy his wife an expensive chandelier for the dining room before he gets a new bass
If the money dries up he'll just continue shopping at Goodwill for castoff spandex and the occasional Winger T shirt..........Probably pay him to take that stuff ;)
I, on the other hand have apperances to keep up so I'll keep him nice and skinny by making him work hard to support me...........
I didn't think there were any pics from the Voltaire show but this one showed up in my email, I like it ;D

Last time I remeber, they called it enjoying life!
