The Art of noise - "Close to the edit"
This was one of the very first songs consisting completely from samples. A ground breaking song in it's day and impossible to perform live.

I found the original pretty unremarkable, and didn't watch it all the way through.

The Trevor Horn versio is MUCH more interesting - actual people playing actual instruments! I was impressed by his economy of motion in playing and by his precision.

Interesting juxtaposition of cuts - but the second has the huge advantage of being live music.
