Just got it back today from HMR Guitars!
...as always, Ron did an excellent job!
I had HMR add the vintage style two piece bridge and tailpiece.
I'm dropping it off later to have the nut done and given a proper set up.

Cool color. Great for swimming pools too.
That sure came out nice. I take it that's Seafoam Green, looks too dark to be Surf Green.

I was looking for a color that was close to a vintage (green tint) Pelham Blue, but after looking through the swatches in the paint book
I picked this... and yes I agree, it has a Seafoam Green look to it.
Thats an intresting color scheme for a T-bird, I like it.
Looks like a '57 Chevy Bel Air. I like it.

No problems with the caps lock; just kidding ;)
Me too, Chris! So how about that Orville???? Is that the Shizz-nit or what??????
Ever since the Dude's one under his bed, he sold long ago, that sea foam green has always been stunning on a bird.
I think fattychugs bought that one and probably still has it. That's the one that was once owned by Tom Petersson.
That was a beautiful colour!!!

I guess I'll have to see the final result, but I'm pretty sure I like yours better. It's that vintage style bridge and tailpiece!
thats a cool colour,it compliments the wood of the fingerboard nicely.i like it.
Any finished pics yet?
awesome!! 57 chevy for sure. cant wait to see the finished product.
Boy... you guys could smell the finished Thunderbird couldn't you?! ;D
I just picked it up yesterday... pictures will be posted later tonight!
THANKS!
Here it is...
These shots really bring out it's true green color rather than the blue seen in the previous pictures... don't understand why it looked so blue?
I used a better camera and lighting for these shots.
The Good News - it is finally done, looks and plays awesome!
The Bad News - due to me being laid off from automotive CAD design here in Detroit since November, I must sell it.

Love it. Always wondered what a Bird would look like in a more surf color, looks great!
I did a fender p bass some years ago and used the reranch tinted nitro. It came out a similar green . I got laid off in jan .it really sucks. hang in there ,the downward spiral should end soon . I got my stable lined up to sell any week now.

sorry for the Fe#@$* content.
Sorry to hear about being laid off.
Really nice bass. I doubt you will have problems moving it.
I was a model maker at a pro design firm here in Chicago and laid off the day before Thanksgiving. Then rehired a few days later as the Maintenance man for way less money. But it's a job. I know how you feel. Hang in there. Try to sell other stuff you have if you can. Don't even know if you would get your money's worth with that bass, even though it looks so nice.

Thanks...
Yes, I can't believe after 15 years of doing the same thing that it's sooo hard to find work!
...and yes, I'm serious about selling it.
I'ts either sell the Orville TBird or the 1962 EB-3... and at this point I just can't bring myself to sell the EB-3!

I thought that was the one that Tom gave him. I could be wrong.
It was the one Tom gave him, but he (Steve) sold it during one of his earlier financial crises.
