I hadn't heard about this criticism from Roger Waters. Just when I think there is nothing that could make me less impressed with Roger Waters, this happens. And I know he can't help it, but physically Waters has the facial characteristics of a Neanderthal. Not a fan. But I will always be a fan of Ozzy Osbourne who had one of the most unique voices in rock. I wasn't posting on this forum at the time of his death, but I'm posting this instead. RIP Ozzy Osbourne.

That Ozzy didn't handle his life and his career in a way that Waters would respect comes as no surprise really. Waters of course has more depth, but he's also a very judgmental and difficult man, rarely seeking public approval. Ozzy on the other hand, for all his outrageousness, wanted to be loved by everyone.
Waters would have nothing to worry about when it comes to me. It's unlikely there will be any approval coming from me. It isn't just his opinion of Ozzy that bothers me. There are many other things I could mention. As an aside, saying he looks like a Neanderthal isn't so much of a jab as it may seem. All of us have from 2% to 4% Neanderthal DNA.
But when it comes to music, Black Sabbath blows Pink Floyd away in my book. As a very young teenager, it was Black Sabbath that had me awestruck. Pink Floyd, not so much. Pink Floyd was a band my sister listened to. Not that they didn't have talent. But Black Sabbath to me personally was on a much higher level. This was at a time when I was first forming my taste in music. Like one comment I recently read said, Black Sabbath's music ripped a hole in the world. That's a big deal when you're an impressionable teenager.
