I have a friend who just got a great deal on one of these. He was asking me if I knew anything about them. I don't know much. But he said someone was comparing this to Carvin. It's just a guess, but it seems this would be better than Carvin. If anyone has any info, I'll relay it to him.

I was seriously considering a Marusczczyk Frog a couple of years ago. That one has a unique shape with neck thru construction, though they appear to offer a bolt on version as well. I believe the company is based in Germany, but the instruments are built in Poland. They seem to be really well made with lots of options, but I've never laid hands on one.

This bassist is an American who lives in Scandinavia. He said he bought the bass to silence the bass snobs he often encounters in Copenhagen. It must be pretty bad because he isn't kidding. I didn't realize they weren't a Polish company. But German and made in Poland. Good to know.
They've been around for almost 20 years here in Sweden and are fairly common. That said I've actually never played one but I've never heard any complaints at all from Swedish bass players so they must be well built.
There might still be info on Marusczczyk on Basschat. Before Brexit and general enshittification of things they were popular. Basically Fender-shaped basses that you could configure quite a bit and were relatively cheap. I think quality faltered a bit when they ramped up production, but I've not seen anything negative about them for a long time.
He decided he didn't like the bass. There were several reasons. But the one which struck me most is he found out it had been played in a hip hop band for years. He said if he kept it he would have to arrange for an exorcism to be performed on it. I'm still trying to visualize a Danish hip hop band. Believe me, though, they do exist.

That reminds me of a guy who bought a nice used P that had been played in a polka band for 20 years. People asked him if it would play anything but root-5.
But honestly, his attitude about the hip-hop band makes no sense to me. I don't enjoy that kind of music a bit, but it wouldn't sour me on a nice bass.
There were several reasons he didn't like the bass. I think it was mainly the cost. But the unpleasantness of Danish hip hop might also be considered a valid reason. My favorite writer Kierkegaard was Danish. I tend to have a positive attitude toward the language. However, many people consider it to be the ugliest European language. If you already don't like Danish, but have to listen to it every day, then hearing Danish hip hop might be too much for some people.
I'm thinking of ordering one like this

That is a good looking bass , ilan. Might worry about balance , might not be an issue.
This is the Frog I had put together on their configurator. Medium scale 5 string tuned EADGC. I ended up abandoning that whole idea.

I doesn't show but the specs I entered are for 30" scale.
