Title: Top 35 Southern Rock Songs

I could have done without a couple of those bands.  But overall that's not too bad of a list, IMO

I've never considered Charlie Daniels to be Southern rock.  But I'm way outnumbered in thinking that.  To me his music defied genres.  But it wasn't Southern rock and it wasn't country, either, IMO.

What was it then?

First of all, I should note that most people would say I'm wrong.  That it is Southern rock.  Still, I don't agree.  As for Charlie Daniels' genre, I think it's something indefinable.  Daniels, like him or not, was unique, IMO.  One of the strangest things was his collaboration with Bob Dylan and George Harrison not long after the Beatles broke up.  I accidentally ran across this several years ago.  Now I can't even find it.  While listening to it, I got curious as to who was playing bass.  It was Charlie Daniels.  Now this is the only thing on YouTube I can find about it.  I'm sure there is more info elsewhere, I just don't know where.
