That is indeed a very clean one. Having lived through the paisley area, they're welcome to it.
Never understood the appeal.
i agree with the others it looks new but didn't appeal to me then or now.
These are due some sort of Vintera reissue I think. There are Japanese ones out there, somewhere.
Seems that if the original Paisley instruments saw a decent amount of use then the paper and finish just rots off them. The original shiny Paisley paper is now unobtainable as well, so they have that mystique.
I remember the MIJ reissues, having lived in Tokyo in the '80s. I remember wishing it was blue paisley instead of blue flower - my dad liked paisley prints for some reason - he was pre-boomer. I would definitely rock one of these! (probably an MIJ reissue, I'm in no hurry for this one, and at my rate of buying basses currently, it's a null set...)
