Beautiful!! I like all of the pickup switching combinations. Is the body size the same as your 69'/70' Les Paul Bass?

Yes, it is exactly the same.

Do you need a screw driver to turn that hidden knob?

Gorgeous build , Rob.

Yeah, or a pick. Which what I use.

Here's the inevitable video demo.

Noice!
Personal favorite settings: fingerstyle – both humbuckers (3), and outer coils (2), pick – inner coils (5).

Super cool, Rob. Must've been rewarding remaking this bass with all the experience you've gained since the first.

Thank you. It certainly was much easier. And it came together much faster. The first bass took me about a year. The new one was done within 3 months.

2024 ended exceptionally well with no less than two Brooks bass guitars in the Top10 of No Treble.
And 2025 continues that with yet another Brooks bass featured as Bass of the Week!

So good you built it twice! Beautiful as always Rob, from not so humble beginnings, a pretty ambitious first bass.  Thanks for posting your work 👍🏻
