Title: New Neck Series: Allparts 65
Post by: BTL on July 23, 2024, 03:39:51 PM
It's my plan to introduce a new neck series - Allparts 65: JGRO-65, JZRO-65, SRO-65, PRO-65, JRO-65, TRO-65

Based on transition-era specs with a modern fretboard radius, these will be an exclusive offering from Lowe Custom Guitars to be introduced  incrementally over time based on market demand.

SPECS:

Neck Profile Shape: Standard C
Frets: Vintage frets (0.079" x 0.043")
Wood: Maple with rosewood fretboard and white binding
Finish: Unfinished
Fretboard Radius: 9.5"
Inlays: White pearloid fretboard dots (narrow 12th fret) and black side marker dots
Neck Binding: White
Nut Width/Heel Width: Standard
Tuning Peg Holes: Vintage
Truss Rod Adjustment Location: Heel

How does all of that sound?

Sounds like a ambitious project! I definitely think they will sell. Can't wait to see them.

Are the bass necks medium scale?

Thanks! I have my fingers crossed, for sure.

These will not be medium scale, but Allparts will be introducing a medium scale conversion neck with a licensed headstock later this year. :)

Allparts meaning they will be distributing them for you? Nice!

Yes!

Both the 32" scale conversion necks and the '65 necks will be Allparts-branded with licensed headstocks. Allparts will be selling the first round of conversion necks as a finished, premium, direct offering and I'll be selling the '65 necks as an exclusive distributor offering. I plan to stock and sell unfinished conversion necks after the first round sells out.

This is the beginning of a big pivot for me and how I approach the guitar business.

Thank you so much! After 15 years of building, I feel like I'm hitting my stride identifying and filling small niches in the market. Developing the Allparts relationship and operating like a mini "custom shop" feels like a big deal. :)
