Great! I loved every three minutes and seventeen seconds of it!
What a blast, great job!
Excellent!
:toast:
Great stuff!
It's da bomb.
Thanks guys, it's a joy to play the Ox's stuff. Always trying to do better!
Well I got abducted by another prog band. ;D These guys the Cyberiam have been friends for years, and have gigged with Nomadic Horizon a few times. They split with their bass player and gave me a call. I had about 7 weeks to learn and memorize a good 75 minute set of their rather complex music for an album release show. It went really well! The show was shot on 5 or 6 cameras and a multi-track recording was done. The selections from the new album "Unobtainiam" are being mixed and edited now, but in the meantime, here's a cell phone clip of an older song called Alice in Afterland.
Great sound and playing. Looks awesome too.
Congrats Tom. Seems like a good fit for you!
Nice stuff!
Thanks guys! It is a beautiful beast that gets the sounds I want. And yes, the band and I are definitely good fits for each other. They're a little more technical than what I'd normally be doing, but there's enough genuine emotion in the music to keep it from becoming a wank fest. ;D The singer has an interesting history. Born in Northern Ireland, at 21 he became a member of a "boy band" put together via a BBC singing competition called One True Voice. Moved to Chicago in the early 2000s and fronted one of the biggest cover bands in town for several years. Got a "golden ticket" to Hollywood on American Idol season 10, but had to bow out because he's here on a work visa. And made it pretty far on the Voice in 2015. Talented guitarist as well.
His voice reminds me of Tim Christensen, the lead singer of Dizzy Mizz Lizzy

That's rad and sounds great. Love that riff around 2:00.
Pardon the self promotion, but... ;D the Cyberiam are releasing 6 pro shot live videos every Sunday at noon. The first two are already up. This was our closing song of the night. It really looks and sounds great. Hats off to Keith Semple (vocals/guitar) for the video editing and audio mix.
