My first build from 1981. Not a lot of reference material available then I just built it using my intuition. Obviously lots of Entwistle/Peter Cook influence. https://youtu.be/_QMFXQHwi2s

You should have gotten an A+ for that.
Very cool Scott!
Impressive. So there was a time when you could be really gentle with the saw.
What a great looking bass! Sounds perfect for you too. I think the teachers didn't understand the importance of the joinery of Fender and Gibson designs. ;D
Nice work. If it were a production model instrument I bet it'd be a good seller too.
That has a fantastic grind to it. I love that it is stripped back to the basics as well!
Looks and sounds great!
Is there drive coming from the amp or just the pickup?
That is beautiful and it does indeed sound great!
Are all those sounds with both coils? How's the coil tap on that pickup?

The grin is a bit of amp and pickup. The Dimarzio Model G has about a 14k resistance so it's pretty hot, oneof the reasons that it is my favorite pickup next to 60's Thunderbirds. There's a reason BC Rich put them in early builds.
