Ben Orr....... Damn, he was handsome and great bassist.
You and your ulterior motives all the time! One track mind in a two track personality.
I have a tough time holding Orr's and Ocasek's voices apart. Could have sworn that Let's Go, Just What I Needed and even Drive were all sung by Ocasek when they were sung by Orr. Whenever I see a vid with Orr singing, it murders countless pictures in my mind of Ocasek singing the same song. To my ears, Orr's voice sounds like Ocasek's after a producer has admonished him: "Ric, try to sound less nerdy for his take!"
And I'm generally quite good at telling different singers in a band apart, Beatles, Eagles (all five of them!), DP Mk III, Queen, Supertramp ... it rarely takes me longer than a split second, but The Cars confound me.

Haha, that's a fun version.
in 1996 I was in band called Bittermoon, We also did that cover.
I remember it was fun to play.
Our recording sounds a bit on the safe side compared to the one above. ;)

Did he call it that, or are you referring to Glen Quan being the inventor of the Leo Quan Badass bridges?

Interesting thing I learned recently is that Jay, Max's son, is the drummer of Slipknot since 2014.
I did not know it was Glen Quan and a guy named Leo Malliaris who made the Badass bridge. I always thought it was an actual guy named Leo Quan. When I read Jeff Berlin say he used Glen Quan pickups on his P/J hybrid basses, I figured it was Leo's brother or something!

Not a fan, but saw the thread and well, it's a bit thin compared to the other ones, so padding it out. My band actually opened for these guys. We didn't get drink tickets (or paid) cuz the band was militantly dry, but the drummer did lend me a stand when my tom holder broke at sound check, so that was nice.
