The only thing missing from that bass is the kitchen sink...

And powered right though.  Amazing, too, since he's playing with his fingers.

Eddie doesn't seem to be enjoying himself too much there.

Weren't grunge stars meant to not ever enjoy themselves?

My wife is dragging me to a Pearl Jam gig in late spring - mainly because of the Vedder soundtrack to Into the Wild. How I dread going. Still, a Soundgarden - another guy who did not enjoy himself  :-\ - gig would be worse/even more harmonically disjointed.

I could always coerce her to an Air Supply gig as retribution - people who have a way with combining chords so the neighbor's cat doesn't shriek from it.

How risque, isn't BÖC considered to be "arena rock" in grunge, punk and alternative rock quarters?  :o

BÖC were always hard rock/heavy rock/heavy metal for people who also read books.  ;D

Watt and the Minutemen always had the expansive idea that "punk is whatever we made it to be."  They loved Richard Hell, but also BOC, and Creedence, and Bob Dylan, and Coltrane.

There's a cool interview with Watt on his use of Thunderbirds.  Interesting that he preferred the NR because of the access to the higher frets.

Besides being talented, I believe Mike Watt has quite a work ethic.  I think that has had a lot to do with making him who he is.

Bought costly at the expense of neck-thru sustain and elegant design!

And you can never have enough BÖC! Especially with Herr Roeser's method acting. That said, sex with goats - more rural areas excepted  - was a bit risque even in the early 80ies.

I'm a sucker for Bloom's voice.
