Curiously, I did see Mountain supporting them in Paris on the #2 1st reunion tour...

Yeah, they stayed friends over the years. There is a Leslie West album with Joe Lynn Turner guesting and also of course this Ian Gillan track here where Leslie plays the solo (and possibly the riffs too):
