Just bought a (Dealer?) poster that I never new existed until this one popped up on eBay. It's the same illustration that was used for the brochure with the clear record stapled inside. It's 30" X 40". The seller had it listed as a Les Paul Personal & Bass poster from 1970. Chances are, I would have been the only bidder even if it was listed as a Les Paul Recording & Triumph Bass poster.

That's really cool. Good score!

I woulds been on it if I caught wind of it; congrats that pretty nice.

Thanks! About the time I think I’ve seen everything in print that pertains to my herd, another piece shows up out of the blue.....

That deserves a decent frame... V 8)

Good idea, just ordered one.....

Cool poster. Leaning LPs up against a stool like that is not recommended.

Leaning guitars against a stool is how I used to photograph my guitars many years ago. I stole the idea from the photo on brochure with the demo record. I remember having a few close calls. It was a good way to use a flash and have the reflection bounce off of the chrome at angles away from the camera. I remember holding my breath when I did the RD Artists, the stool started to tip.....

the padded (vs hard wooden) seat helps a lot I'm sure. I would assume the Gibson pic made stealthy use of double-sided tape.

The seller just sent me a message after he shipped it; "Couldn't be many of them left! Just one more poster to go...".
It sounds like he may have a second one to sell, we'll have to watch for it...……….

Scan and sell... high qual print on canvas...
(seriously though, get a decent image of it saved as the ink may not be archival or UV proof...)
-
I'll have to see if anyone around here scans a poster that big.
It looks like the second poster might be a false alarm. He just posted a 1980 Les Paul Custom poster.
-
Won't need to scan it, just use a decent digital camera on a RAW setting and adjust the final image as required...

The poster came a few days ago, my second poster frame came a little while ago, (the first frame ended up being 30X40 cm instead of inches lol!). The poster is pretty brittle for being about 46 years old, there was about a 1" rip on an edge from one of the rubber bands that the seller had around it to keep it rolled up. The frame came with a anti-glare cover that I probably should have used, but I'm not going to press my luck until it's had time to straighten out. I doubt that I'll ever come across another one...………

Nice, looks surprisingly good for its age considering it wasn't mounted before.
