A refinished Ripper with an interesting story.
If only it were the original one.

Interesting. If it were the original, I suppose the starting bid would be much higher. Still, AU $2,000 isn't unreasonable, at least in Australia.
Oh, that one fooled me at least. I saw a quite recent video of Mark Evans and thought he actually had the original cherry burst still in his possession.
They look great in that color. Shame there weren't more of them.
Here's a video with the original.

There was a beautiful New Old Stock one for sale a while ago, on Reverb.

Damn, that sure is pretty. If I remember correctly, it went for a pretty reasonable sum.
Eek!
Went for $AU5299!

Whoops!
Insane! Must have been several big fans bidding it up.
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Expensively.
It can play root notes perfectly.
Poor Ted Mulry is going to be in for a disappointment when he tries to get the same amount for his Ripper.

*RIP Ted Mulry.

Not sure where that one is. Ted passed away in 2001.
I learned of his fate after I made the post, then added the RIP in the edit.
He lost me after the first fifteen seconds.
I think Mark Evans is playing bass in the revitalised TMG.
Hope he uses a Ripper !
