At this point, it's only a recommendation from a CITES committee, but at least it's a first step toward allowing musicians to tour across borders with rosewood.
If this is really being driven by a demand for rosewood furniture in China, that seems pretty distinct from sue use of rosewood in instruments. I hope this recommendation is successful, but it sounds like it will take a few years.
