Ive been given the carcass of an Ibanez Iceman, which with the long headstock is crying out to be a 12 string conversion, something I have wanted to add to my arsenal for a while now.
my concern is that it's a set neck, with the extra tension is it likely to fail?

Gibson has made plenty of set neck 12ers. Wait, do you mean a bass? Hamers are all set neck.
