In the immortal words of Nigel Tufnel: It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black.
On my monitor it does have something blue'ish. But the colour totally not resembles the 2 AZG's I have here.
Usually, Olivia's is very good in describing their items, but certainly NOT in this case. Perhaps someone put the wrong set of photos in this auction.
The straight on pic of the back definitely looks dark blue on my monitor. The other pics don't. Hard to say, maybe it's the lighting.
Photos of the back show really dark blue, especially on the neck. I wonder if the wear areas have reduced the aging of the clearcoat to expose the dark blue. It's not the first VERY DARK BLUE Azureglo that I have seen, but it is the second! A really dark Azureglo 4005 turned up at a Rickenbacker Confluence in SoCal in '05 as I recall, and a photo of it is in the book.
Photos of the back look dark, dark blue on my screen. I love Azureglo, and would be super pissed if mine basically turned black!
Gorgeous deep blue... 8)
Does Rickenbacker normally get paint on the truss rod nuts or could this possibly be a re-fin?

That is pretty normal.
Maybe the back has a hint of very dark blue but I wouldn't call this one AZG.
