Col. Bruce Hampton Passes Away At His 70th Birthday Celebration (http://liveforlivemusic.com/news/col-bruce-hampton-passes-away/) :o
I saw that. Someone I know had spent the morning with him, and was the person who drove him to the show.
I don't think he'd have wanted to go out any other way.
hampton was the best musical entity to ever come out of this sad town. saw him perform many times over the last forty years and followed his career closly.

Maybe someday, but at his own 70th birthday celebration? I suspect he would have liked more time to celebrate a milestone birthday.
Agreed, I was simply referring to going out whilst onstage performing.
Maybe I was wrong. This article (http://www.atlantamagazine.com/news-culture-articles/col-bruce-hampton-says-goodbye/) speculates that he may have had a clue.
