From 2014 (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/gwyneth-paltrow-thinks-negative-words-and-sounds-can-hurt-water-s-feelings-9486230.html), thanks to a link at Dave Barry's blog this morning
Our favorite batshit crazy celebrity follows some scientist named Dr. Emoto. Seriously.
Water and rice for dinner tonight. I promise to be gentle and soothing.
"In his experiments, Emoto poured pure water into vials labelled with negative phrases like 'I hate you' or 'Fear'. After 24 hours, the water was frozen, and no longer crystallised under the microscope: It yielded grey, misshapen clumps instead of beautiful lace-like crystals.
"In contrast, Emoto placed labels that said things like 'I love you' or 'Peace' on vials of polluted water, and after 24 hours, they produced gleaming, perfectly hexagonal crystals."
So were the labels printed in English or Japanese? I'm just curious which language water understands.
So instead of steaming her clam, maybe she just needs to speak to it in a kinder manner.
I'm more concerned about whether her leftover rice from last night's dinner is sulking in the 'fridge. :P
Whether that communication theory holds water or not, we just don't know. That said, perhaps we could have Gwyneth - sufficiently amplified - call soothing words to the next Tsunami to stop it?
Being married to a Coldplay member must do terrible things to you. I'm sure had she found a more down-to-earth guy from, say, Minnesota, this could have all developed differently.
Domo Arigato, Dr. Emoto.
Dave's emotional attachment to his old flame is really a boat on the river or maybe he just has too much time on his hands?
I just try to get out in front of every story before you have a chance to pounce.
What I find frightening is that people actually subscribe to her magazine.

Had to... I heard this little voice in my 'ed... :vader:
That seems to be a great band, who are they, Humble Pie?
So you think Gwyneth takes advantage of liberal cannabis laws in some States and then has deep conversations with one of the Four Elements, i.e. smoke on the water?
I'll drop two more elements in: Fire in the Sky... :vader:
