This baby needs a boost. Anyone in?
Did they have to use J pups tho?
Maybe it's a Krist Novoselic Signature Copy 8)

Not a faithful copy because the pole pieces actually line up with the strings ;-)
I gotta say - that is not a look I'd pay for. Never appealed to me.
Interesting. .I dont like the headstock much .The video didnt give me much of an idea of the tone but it did make me want to saw that guys fingers off.

+1
I'd be tempted by another original if the funds were there... Artist version... late model with the 3 switches...
That video is pretty much the stereotype for bad Youtube bass videos. Sub-par webcam mic audio with plenty of room ambience and sub-par playing. The guy has slappity triplets down to a fine art, but it isn't exactly a musical performance. You wouldn't think they were trying to sell an instrument.
Why do sub-par bassists naturally gravitate to slapping anyways?

Because they can ;D

I resemble that remark, but no slapping here.
Slapping happens to me this way:

Moe's slapping was more musical than most slap-happy bassists.
I think it is also typical that the video does not show the (ugly) headstock. And the (again ugly) jazz bass pickups are obscured by his knee.
They sure know how to hide the weakest points
The headstock reminds me of John Birch or maybe early BC Rich designs. A black headstock would have looked nicer. :-\
I dunno what the headstock fuss is about. We've seen some truly ground-breakingly fugly ones, this one is pretty normal/tame (and don't half of us fetishise matching headstocks on Fenders anyway?).

(there's drum triggers in there; he's jamming along)
I'm amazed that she stands there. She probably gave him a shot to the face after realizing what the idiot did.
I hope.
