I might attempt the neck myself, nothing lost if it doesn't work out.  I've sent both a Reverse and Non Reverse pup to Steve Soar to see if he can replicate them.  Also waiting for the pup cover and ring prototypes.  I'll keep you updated on any progress.  Gobble, Gobble!

You could also send the pickups to Jason Lollar.

Lollar already knows how to make them, as does Lull's supplier and Duncan among others.  The pup manufacturers know the prices they have to charge to cover their cost of doing business. I've always been a DIY guy looking for a niche and unlike them have no interest in doing anything BUT TBird related stuff.  I'm looking to do a pup complete with covers and rings for a more competitive price due to almost zero overhead.

It may very well turn out that without a big capital commitment the unique components (magnets, bobbins) of the TBird pup make the cost of manufacture prohibitive.  Steve Soar is willing to explore it, we've been co conspirators on and off for 40 years, so why not give it a shot?  The covers and rings are no brainers because they fit just about any pup, doing the actual pickups would sweeten the deal.
