No chromey goodness.  I think I've seen that bass before.  Possibly on TB.

 Oh I saw it................

Just my .02 here but I've alway felt 'Birds look better in a solid color or the traditional 'burst, the shape doesn't seem to lend itself to this kind of multi -striping to well. I think it's because the shape by itself is a strong statement and trying to make paint compete with it seems somehow wrong to me. As it was designed with a pickguard Thunderbirds are (to me) an elegant beautiful shape, there's been a few nicely painted ones but they're far and few between.
This one kinda misses the mark for me, and I have the feeling it looks much better in the pics than it does in the flesh................Aside from that I have 2 basses "out there" already the Nikki Bird and a BaCH, so my meager $$$ are going to be occupied for a little while. And I'm really thinking I'd like either a Hotwire Fenderbird or an RS Expibird after that................ :P

Well, looks like it will be getting cheaper for you in the mid term. In a reversal of the trend of the last years, the Euro value is currently crashing vs the mighty Dollar. It's nice that in 8 years we can take the whole world down the toilet in so many ways!

The 8 years I refer to is our national debt, which we (both parties) just added 700 billion to, that in the end may do nothing for the problem. 8 years ago we had zero debt.

You can't blame it all on the current admin, 911 was the spending button, but it sure seems Iraq was an unwarranted, now we can't leave nor can we afford to stay. It's costing a lot in many ways.

I'm not sure about where you live, but almost every city here is way over in debt. Where will we come up with the money to fix the failing bridges, schools, roads, fund police & fire, plus pay of a national debt we can't imagine the amount?

We will have to cut spending and or raise taxes. I don't see how we can just keep spending / borrowing ( from China & other countries ) and not pay anything back. We are going down the pipes because of our debt at every level. We just can't keep printing more money.
No one wants to pay the money back, but no one wants to start laying off police, fire and sanitation workers (like they started doing in Chicago) !!

Can we hire the TV lawyer Peter Francis Juracey to file chapter 11 as a country?

We are going to hell in a hand basket pretty quick.

In a rare moment of clarity, it occurred to me that since so many people (in all walks of life) are affected, and with so much blame to go around, it may be the one thing that unites rather than divides the country.
Then again, I thought "Cop Rock" was a cool idea for a TV show... ;D

Yes, Iceland is broke. It amazes me. I was there only last year and it seemed a wealthy country with very few problems or social differences. How could they get so much in debt? The only energy they need to import is some gas for their cars, they need to import food, but they also export what one of the world's largest fishing fleet catches in their waters (which are - thanks to Iceland's protective stand against non-national fishers - not overfished). Yet they stood there watching how their three banks collected debts tenfold their gross national product. Iceland banks were all the rage until recently in Europe by offering interest rates up to 10 % on savings and checking accounts. Someone is picking up the bill for that now.

I almost burst a blood vessel last night hearing about AIG and the party we threw for them and the million dollar a month consultant WE THE PEOPLE hired, the person who help ruin the company.

WTF????

I just can't understand how people can just look the other way after this country has been lied to, cheated and raped, by the people who really run this country- the super wealthy.

This is like the Iraq war were we need to question things like why did we have to do this in a week and how is it really going to help, or is it the most glorified golden parachute ever created, fed to us by the people tied to the parachutes?

The sheep have been fleeced and now slaughtered.

I think they should drag the Fuggers out and hang them in the street. This has to stop. Prison has to be calling.
