I think you made a wise decision Chris. Hiwatts do have a grat clean sound and also goes well with overdrive-pedals if you need a grittier sound. Congratulations! I'm very happy with the 200W and use a Moody Sounds custom made Overdrive/Fuzz pedal.

I have two Hiwatt guitar combos, and used a DR103 for bass for awhile. It's a great bass head, but I prefer the sound of my early 70s V4B and SVT. The DR103 has more of a "bark" as opposed to the Ampegs' growl. Have also used one of my Oranges for bass (70s OR120s), and I think I like their tone better than the Hiwatts also. Having said that, it's hard to beat that classic Hiwatt clang for rhythm guitar.
