The ASAT is the only G&L that I've always gassed for. I've still never had one, but was hoping you'd do the deal and like it so I could live vicariously through your experience. 
I'm glad it worked out.
I gigged it last night - it sounded good in the mix, and looked good under the lights... It's not as comfy as my P Bass, but is tolerable enough for a couple of 1 hr sets in a night, no prob - and it gives me something my modest collection lacked: a Tele style bass... I'm probably going to keep it - if anything, just to have something "different" to trot out on stage on occasion... My bandmates dug it, so there is that...
