I suspect it won't sound much different with the Model 1s. The original pups which are in essence mudbuckers with a lot less windings have a similar character.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...

Already at $585.  ???  It's reasonably clean, and it's an earlier model. But those Model 1s downgrade the collector value. Anyone who overpays now is likely to have a hard time getting his investment back.

They are not really snug against the scratch plate - that looks weird. In principle, Model 1s could look good on a Ripper, but not the way they are mounted here.

And that is not even an original big-body Ripper, but already the sleeker version.
