Pulsar was a Welsh/Canadian band in the late seventies featuring singer/multi-instrumentalist John Sloman, drummer Dixie Lee and bassist Pino Palladino and from Canada (Where they were based) Dave Cooper on guitar and Greg Dechert on keyboards. The tracks remind me a bit of Rundgren & Utopia.

Here's a quite recent John Sloman interview. I feel it's a shame he is mostly known from his 15 minutes with Uriah Heep and one live album with Gary Moore (recorded while ill).
