That vendor has the most hacked-up guitars I've ever seen.  And they want top dollar for every one of them.  They had a completely butchered Embassy bass up on ebay forever, not sure if its still there.

these guys always have a bunch of beat up/half destroyed gear they want beyond top dollar for. this guitar is in good shape but the price? minor celebrity connection if you believe it.

Looks like something Todd Rundgren would have played in the late 70s.

And how is the photo of a girl holding a different guitar "proof" of its celebrity connection I wonder?  At any rate, I seem to recall the reverse firebird being referred to by a Jackson employee as the "crosby model" so I'm not sure that writing on the neck means much but maybe the cryptic words explain something  ;D

That does it, I'm writing famous names on the heels of my bolt-ons. I wonder how much my Tele will be worth once people realize it was custom made for Mark Twain.

Yes, and I also have one made for Charles Dikkens, the well-known Dutch author of Rarnaby Budge.

apparently with celebrity guitars comes celebrity shipping cost.

500 dollars, indeed. even if it is in germany.

here is another bargain from these folks.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GRETSCH-CORVETTE-made-in-USA/121965846989?_trksid=p2047675.c100012.m1985&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131230161411%26meid%3D81c94e3705b8480abd089ba4be3758cf%26pid%3D100012%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D121955533733

there is a nice complete one at reverb.com for 1165.00.

I have a kramer bass that was "rejected" by Billy Sheehan for being a piece of junk purportedly.  I should be able to get a mint for that thing based on these auctions.
