At one of the local GCs. Looks nice for the price. (http://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Gibson/LPB-2-Electric-Bass-Guitar.gc)
I'll be over that direction next Monday. If anyone here is interested and it's still availbale, I could check it out.

I always thought GC's prices for used & especially vintage were way high. It seems their prices have come down to a more competitive level in the past few years.

I have been enjoying my recent LPB-2 acquisition. Very well made and plays great! This is a decent price for one.

I stopped in today but it was nowhere to be found. Clicked on the link just now, it's now located in Williston VT! ??? Someone must have had it shipped there and then decided not to buy it.

It's called a SIT (something something Transfer) and if it didn't sell, it's probably going to an employee there. They don't allow them without money and they can't advertise anything on layaway as being for sale.
