Title: one more vinyl thing
Post by: nofi on July 27, 2008, 03:33:26 PM
writer fred mills says, " long after radiation from global nuclear war has wiped every hard drive clean of its stash of mp3s, our record collections will still be with us, waiting patiently down in our darkened basements, perched on their shelves like big black 12" diameter cockroaches."

of course if this were to happen we would have no hi fi systems, no houses to put them in and no electricity to power any of it. i guess it would be back to banging on logs with rocks , or making harry partch type contraptions for instruments.

Wouldn't the heat turn 'em into large vinyl blobs?

The Last of The V8 Interceptors. That sounds almost as nice as Gretsch Billy Bo Jupiter Thunderbird Bass:)

The Mad Max Box is at discount at a local store. I'm gonna buy that!

What about the 'Last V8 Interceptor Bass?

How would one look like and who's gonna build it?

Poomwah: I don't know if you're already reading older posts but beware of the topics: We're talking more about WWII aircrafts, American V8s, cross dressing and trans gender operations, cats, German humor and animations than basses here;)

I don't have to defend myself, but I'll do it! (partly cos I can't afford Uwe to do it for me.)

- I think Hieronymous talks more about cats... :) And I like that:)

- Sorry, Herr Fraulein.... I'll try to do it right the next time!

- Erm, the SG-3 was supposed to be for my, erm, other girlfriend.

To quote Gibson's slogan for the second time this week:

'Why just have one? Rock 'n Roll isn't about monogamy.'
