A little help in identifying a Charvel bass.
« on: October 16, 2008, 10:47:09 AM »
Well about a year ago me and my bassplayer Adrian went out shopping at the vintage fair and he bought himself a Charvel bass but we haven't really gotten a clue about what type of Bass it is or where it was made.

Today I had the Bass over at my place so I could set it up properly and decided to take some pictures of it while I was at it and here they are.

So what kind of bass is this, we'd really love to know.

I think Phil's right. It has a nice Duff McKagan look. I don't like the really 80s headstock though..

Is the Dixie Witch decal really exactly fitting with the controls or is it cut out?

The pointed Dixie witch sticker actually is a normal bar shaped Sticker over three pointed stickers which were the butt ends of three eighties "Metal" racing stripes graphic stickers, he removed the upper part of those stickers and placed a Dixie Witch sticker on the remaining stumps.

A friend of mine had one of these when we were both starting out.  I thought it played great and I liked it so much more than my Series 10 bass.

Where's the Dixie Witch winged skull?

Mmmmm, Dixie Witch.  Now I know which shirt to wear tonight on the town!
