I'm sorry to hear that. RIP, Mr Lee. Didn't you post pics of him posing on your basses a while back?

Natural causes or were you trying out a new recipe?

Losing a reptile is not like losing a dog or a cat, but it still hurts. It has happened many times to me. Was it just time for him or did he have a disease? Anyway, I'm sure he mounted all scales of affection with you. With few exceptions, reptiles don't really fight against illness or death, they wither away and finally succumb, losing all will to survive.

I first thought this link was about Jake E. Lee ... I have to cut down on listening to those Badlands reissues.

R.I.P Mr. Lee.

And Uwe, it's nice to see another Jake fan. My second son was named mostly for him (don't tell my soon to be ex)!

Of all the Ozzy guitarists, I always thought Jake E. Lee was the most tasteful and accomplished. Randy Rhoads is a legend and deservedly so, but I saw the little guy live, he was sloppy as hell. Zakk never did much for me, I saw him live on his first tour with Ozzy in 1991 or so, I missed Lee's fluid and melodic lines back then. The new Greek kid is good, bit like all Ozzy guitarists combined.

I've only discovered Badlands very recently, I knew Gillen from Sabbath, Singer from Kiss and Alice Cooper and Lee from Ozzy, but had never heard anything of Badlands, I just knew that they had existed. And while their music is way too Zep'ish for me in places (why is it that all American bands always replicate Zep riffs and hardly ever Purple ones?  :-\ ), the playing on those albums is exquisite and Gillen's singing amazing with Jake E. Lee avoiding any shredding excesses.

PS: Back to the deceased Mr Lee. Will the burial grounds be in the garden? He'd probably appreciate some flowing water close by ...

Sorry to hear about Mr. Lee.  It is tough losing a pet.  My 10 year old son is way attached to our 3 cats.
