Camels also made climate change worse by burping up greenhouse gases and turning various landscapes into deserts.

Nothing worse than camel farts in the desert.

What a legacy of destruction!  That gives new meaning to the phrase "dry as a popcorn fart"

Of course, this research does not take into account the fact that after I consume the camel meat, my own methane emissions will etch a hole in our atmosphere large enough to pilot the space shuttle through.

Like I said, you can't make stuff like this up.

Killing herds of imported animals who wreak havok on the native wildlife is understandable, and selling their meat for consumption, rather than just distroying the remains is commendable. But that methane theory is bullshit.

I've had Camel a couple of times. Its OK but not a patch on Roo meat which our family eats about once a week. These days you just buy it in the supermarket next to the beef. The trick to buying nice roo meat is to not buy meat that has any browness to its colour. Means it hasn't been bled properly and can taste too much like liver (blech) for my liking.

Nice pink/red piece of Roo rump is almost identical to lean beef. Not gamey at all.

I hate to break it to you but I don't think Barbie can support a camel if you threw one on her.

Looks like a regular issue 45 gallon drum sliced down the middle with some old fridge shelving welded across the top type barby to me.  ;)

I've only had camel once.  It was okay.  If not for the yogurt sauce they gave us with it, I'm not sure I would have finished it (it was a big buffet thing, and there was a lot of really good stuff there).  It wasn't grilled though, I think it was roasted.  Kind of gamey on the softer parts, and pretty tasteless on the tougher.

The fact that the word "barbie" can mean so many things makes a discussion such as this one potentially confusing.  I still can't get used to the use of barbie to mean a barbecue grill.
