No cloning necessary. He probably just mixed a little formaldehyde in the pickling solution.

Anyway, still looking through the other articles. This story told me more about Orville Gibson than I had known before.

Definitely ugly ducklings but they're somehow likeably ugly to me if there is such a thing.  I feel the same way about ovation magnums for some odd reason.

I always loved Ross Valorys sound with those. And the best part is you can get the later less ugly version too!
