Post by: Dave W on May 22, 2015, 09:13:06 PM
The day The Rolling Stones visited Gibson Guitar in Kalamazoo (http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2015/03/the_rolling_stones_visited_the.html)

More recent articles here since the Gibson smokestack stories: Gibson, Kalamazoo & a guitar heritage (http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2015/03/gibson_kalamazoo_and_a_guitar.html#0)

I sent the article to a friend who is quite a big RS fan.  I'm sure he'll be very interested.

That story makes it seem even more amazing that Keef is still with us.

No cloning necessary. He probably just mixed a little formaldehyde in the pickling solution.

Anyway, still looking through the other articles. This story (http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2015/03/orville_gibson_separating_the.html) told me more about Orville Gibson than I had known before.

The BC Rich Seagulls seem a little out of place but I always liked them.  Fashion aside they're cool pictures  ;)

Never heard of the model before and now I've seen it, never want to see it again... ugly, imho...

Each to their own...

Definitely ugly ducklings but they're somehow likeably ugly to me if there is such a thing.  I feel the same way about ovation magnums for some odd reason.

I always loved Ross Valorys sound with those. And the best part is you can get the later less ugly version too!
