Squier Classic Vibe Mustang Bass
« on: June 18, 2019, 01:46:25 AM »
Today I got all the Fender news for the Summer Namm, but I'm not allowed to share. But... there will be a Squier Classic Vibe Mustang in Surf Green and Off White. With the right bridge and pickups.

The guy who bought the same bass twice — first in 1977 and again in 2023

Hopefully with the correct (narrow) string spacing at the bridge.

Nope, the Vintera is the new Mexican Classic Series and has three Mustangs. European Price around 920 euros. I mentioned those in a later post in this thread.

The Squier Classic Vibe will come soon in two colours, for around 400 euros.

For a while there a few years back, Fender wasn't offering any new Mustang basses. Now there's already the American Performer, JMJ, and Mustang P/J. The Vintera and the Squier Classic Vibe will make five. They must be selling well, Fender has never offered so many variations before.

I bought a Vintera, and plan to sell my PJ. The Vintera feels like the higher quality instrument. I wish the PJ had simply had a P bass pickup.

Wow that sounds like you are describing a mid 50's Chevrolet or Oldsmobile Rocket 88  ;D
That will certainly be interesting to see  ;)

I bought a Butterscotch Blonde PJ Mustang bass from Chicago Music Exchange. Dying to hear it but...no gigs, nothing for at least a month probably.
